Freedom’s Signature

Looking through recent reports sent to us and found a picture that captured my heart. It wasn’t a face or a photo of beautiful mountains or vast ocean. It is a work-worn hand putting a thumbprint on the signature line of debt payed-in-full. It represented a family that had lived as slaves in Pakistan, sometimes for generations, working in a brickyard to pay a debt. The problem is, on their own, the family never made enough to be able ot repay the date. So, the debt was passed to the children and the children’s children. They became slaves owned by people who sometimes abused them or separated them from one another. Until Jesus provided a way of escape…

I can’t share their names for safety reasons. I can tell you how grateful we are to partner with a ministry in Pakistan who is working to free these families. When they receive donations, they free families and take them to their ministry center for a season of rehabilitation and discipleship. Then they help them learn a trade and provide the means to begin their own business to provide for their family. Discipleship continues and lives are changed forever.

PHGN is so honored to be a conduit between our partners and another generous ministry who provided the funds to free this man’s family and many others. It is a privilege we don’t take lightly. I have been blessed to meet many of these families as I partipate in the plan for discipling via live-stream using PHGN’s Redemption LIFE curriculum. When people donate to Pakistan through our ChildFeed Fund, we help feed the children and their families, too. Before the end of the year, we hope to provide every family who has been freed with a recording of the Bible in their language and a Children’s Bible for every child.

Have I mentioned how much I love our “job”????
