PHGN West Africa Team / Heart Cry Africa
In 2002, Pastor Carla visited Nigeria for the first time under the ministry of Pastors Wole and Azuka Gbogboade. Together they began Heart Cry International’s first discipleship school, HCI Children’s Ministry Institute, with 120 students. Since then, the ministry of HCI (Heart Cry International) has exploded in Nigeria! HCI Africa is a recognized non-profit organization in Nigeria and an extension of PHGN here, funded primarily through our donations. Pastor Samson Oyewumi serves as the HCI Africa Director and leads the HCI Africa Board in furthering our mission, model and message of discipleship in Nigeria and other African nations.
The West African Board conducts PHGN’s Training Seminars and/or the Institute, oversees the PHGN Sunday School Teacher’s Fellowship and The Word Club, an exciting discipleship program for children. HCI Africa (the West Africa Board) hosts our VOH School of Discipleship and Ministry, having graduated the first students in 2022. They are now participating in the first year of our new Multi-Generational Discipleship School on-line and helping to develop it in West Africa with us! What an honor to labor alongside these mighty men and women of God!

Pastor Samson Olukayode Oyewumi is an Evangelist and Missionary to the villages. He is a Crusader and a graduate of the HCI Children's Ministry Training Institute and has been a member of the HCI Board since it's beginning. He is currently a student in PHGN's VOH School in Nigeria.
HCI Africa is a designated PHGN ChildFeed Program ministry partnership.

Pastor Elizabeth is a children Pastor in her church and also one of the board members of Heart Cry International, (Africa). She works also as the office secretary for Heart Cry International (Africa). She's married to Akinyemi Olusegun Joseph with four children.
