Meet The Founders
Pastors Ron & Carla Ives
Over 30 years ago, Carla Ives pioneered Reach the Children of the World Ministries with missionaries in four countries. Her dear friend, Peggy Phillips, shared the dream and worked as her only staff. The goal was to train pastors, parents, and teachers to disciple the next generation and provide them with resources to do it.

The ministry quickly grew and in the first 15 years we were able to provide training or curriculum to churches and children’s ministries in approximately 80 countries! As the ministry grew, the training and vision expanded. Eventually the name was changed to Heart Cry International, challenging people to hear the cry of the children as we added humanitarian efforts to our discipleship plan. With the changing world and increasing challenges facing rising generations, Carla eventually felt led to expanding the training to include discipleship of ALL ages, with a focus on the family. In 2021, Carla’s husband, Ron Ives, who served as the Founder and Senior Pastor of The Potter’s House Family Worship Center, their local church, felt led to merge his Vessels of Honor School of Ministry & Discipleship with Heart Cry International, creating one new ministry to advance God’s kingdom in the nations. Together, Ron and Carla changed the name of the organization one last time to Potter’s House Global Network. In July 2025, they retired from pastoring the local church to give full-time energy and effort to PHGN. Despise not the day of small beginnings! You never know what God will do! We are rich in history with many years of faithful service behind us. The best is yet to come! We can’t wait to see what God has planned for the next chapter.
