And So It Begins…
It’s official! We officially retired as pastors of our home church the last Sunday in July. It seems surreal. We used the month of August to recalibrate and seek God for the future, taking a prayer trip to the Upper Peninsula. It was SO good! We also enjoyed time with our family here at the cabin and in Kentucky, at our son’s new home. By the end, we were counting the hours until our first ever “sabbatical” was done so we could dive into doing PHGN full-time. :) We are so happy and excited for the future!
God gave us clear direction as we end this year and move into 2026. In the past five days we have focused on reorganizing and restructuring the ministry base here, while relaunching discipleship & compassionate care initiatives overseas. Our VOH School of Discipleship & Ministry begins here in Michigan, in-person and on-line, next weekend, with a special time of worship and intercession. I emailed Part One of our Multi-Generationa Discipleship Institute’s 16th Course to our on-line students this morning! This course - The War Against the Family & the Christian Response - is dear to my heart and I am so looking forward to the rich discussion I’ll share with these students. God is moving!
There seems to be a resurgance of our Word Club Program in the nations, and even here at home. The Holy Spirit & Me curriculum is stirring the hearts of children to hear God and to be filled with the Spirit! We’re hearing some beautiful reports. This weekend, a new group of teachers from a Christian School in Liberia will be taking Word Club training on-line so that they, too, can offer this program to the children they serve. The training was sent to a larger Christian school in Uganda and and to Malawi. God wants the next generation to know and walk with Him!
If I sound excited, it’s because I am. Ron and I have been experiencing a spiritual awakening in our own lives. We can’t wait to share it with the world. May Jesus be glorified!
